Once upon a time . . .

there were sausages. Plain sausages. A variety, to be sure, including such exotic and great blends of herbs and spices and meats such as bratwurst, polska kielbasa, and even Hebrew Nationals. But a true gastronomic revolution came with the invention of the chicken apple sausage. Indeed, I hope to open the eyes of all sausage and non-sausage lovers to the wonders of chicken apple sausages and exhort them to seek out far and wide (sometimes deserving a special trip to a Costco's) to acquire and taste this special delicacy, known in some sausage-consuming circles as "the sausages".
